I love the whole steampunk trend, the enchanting victorian era clothing, mashed up with cyber punk, trunk boxs, lace, leather, belts, buckels, gears, cogs,  goggles,  pocket watches,  brass,  copper, trains,  steam of coarse,  machinery of the industrial revolution…this trend has been going for some time now, but never quite made it to Australia so here’s a collection of steampunk designs I’ve found.

Have a look at Kato’s online portfolio, she’s a fashion designer, illustrator, & seamstress…

The Adventures of Miss Blimey Pirate Girl ” the tale of headless bessie” by Jo Spurling Illustrations by Timba Smits.

When I first discovered this tale in a wooden toy magazine it was love at first site, the exquisite raw sepia detail of Timba’s illustrations, and the tales of Miss Blimey that became the most feared & respected pirate on the seven &  half seas…”arrrrgh!”
